Description
The Kanneh-Masons are seven brothers and sisters with ranging from 12 to 25 years in age - Isata, Braimah, Sheku, Konya, Jeneba, Aminata, and Mariatu are all gifted musicians in their own right on violin, piano, or cello. The film follows the siblings and their music-loving parents, Stuart Mason and Dr. Kadiatu Kannehon, on and off the stage as they conquer the musical world together and grow into their own as artists. 7 LIVES OF MUSIC – THE KANNEH-MASON FAMILY is a meaningful portrait of family, weaving together the exceptionally true stories of their successes as well as recognizing the barriers the siblings face as young Black people in the white-dominated classical music space.
