The title came in a dream, and it took me a day or two to work out its meaning. I consider this a Grail song, an invocation to know the ACTUAL truth about the spiritual world, rather than a fantasy, or a dreamy projection, and consciously, rather than instinctively.

That is the Grail, to come to know the truth about the intense love affair between God and man, and to then live it honourably in gratitude, faith and humility for the rest of our days. It becomes a higher morality; a code of chivalry. The journey to that place in one's soul is a perilous but thrilling life-or-death adventure, where from out of the shadows one meets formidable inner foes, such as fear, doubt, attachment, envy, inflation, vengeance, temptation, hatred and so on... symbolised by dragons, serpents, vampires, ogres and the like.

Protection, strength and guidance comes through the Archangel Michael, under who's spiritual governance the Christ came to earth firstly into the being of Jesus of Nazareth, and thence into the ether for all of humanity to access. The Grail is symbolised by a chalice which caught the blood of Christ on Golgotha, and which is carried and held in the hearts of the faithful, as spiritual gnosis. It amounts to a whole-hearted connectedness between a human being and the living God, a deep communion (at-one-ment or atonement), and what opposes this amounts to disconnecting forces, such as materialism & Godless science. Déscartes famously declared: "I think, therefore I am", but the Grail Knight would say: "I have faith, therefore I am".

Only when we come to know that there is nothing but God in, and all around us, can we truly say: "I am". And the highest, strongest faith is the faith that comes simply from love and devotion and needs no proof. It is an inner declaration for the brave-hearted soul to make, and anything less than that is doubt, not faith. When Jesus told the multitude that many still did not believe in the spiritual world despite his miracles (because he could see into their souls), most then turned away, protesting and indignant. Only the 12 remained, and to them he said: "Will ye stay or will ye also go?" To which Peter replied: "O Lord, where now should we go, for we have seen that you are the bread of life?" And yet Peter went on to deny, Thomas to doubt and Judas to betray. These three characters live symbolically within everyman; they are our dragons.

The Grail Knights had poets, minstrels & troubadors who accompanied them, and who put the Grail secrets into song for safe-keeping in symbolic code, to outwit those in politics, corrupt religion and the military who sought only power and dominion, not love. We filmed for this in Hungary where I live, and which has an enduring, precious, ancient and sacred Grail tradition. Hungary herself is considered to be the Christ of Europe, and she contains the planet's heart chakra. The nation was given to the Virgin Mary as an offering, and it is through the spiritual being of the Divine Mother that spiritual sentience comes; that the Christ is born to every human heart, so that every day is actually Christmas day (Christ Mass). So this is a love song about the passion between Christ and humanity.

The true poet or artist sees into the spiritual world, and then depicts it so that others may see. My friend Katinka spoke earnestly to the angels in childhood as I did, and so the angels in turn spoke earnestly to us, telling us things about the spiritual world. We both aspire to depict that through art. Along with Katinka, you will see Szaffy and Zia appear in the film; the three graces; dark-haired flowers of Mary. Diyar, the minstrel, is Kurdish, but there is an ancient link between the Magyar (Hungarian) tribes who spread far and wide from the Carpathian basin (present-day Hungary), and the Kurds, the Parthians (Iranians), and the Scythians (southern Russians) all united by pre-Christ 'Christianity', a high moral & spiritual culture existing before the historical Jesus. Even some Celts, Etruscans, Mongolians, Tibetans, Chinese & Koreans carried this higher human morality, all originally Magyar. 'Mag' means 'seed', so Magyar' means 'people of the seed'. The Magyar runic alphabet is found in all these places, and the clothing, costume, cuisine, poetry, healing, music and morality were all strikingly similar. The Virgin Mary herself was Parthian (of Iranian, originally Magyar stock).

The exact filming venue, Kisnyalka Major, is a falconry and horsemanship retreat centre, and both these things were central to the shamanic ancient Magyar spirituality; the falcon symbolising the higher animal; a totemic protective presence in tandem with the dove of peace.
