Growing up, my nan taught me a lot about how to present myself. Some of it I didn't take on board (lol) and some I did, same with my mum. I moved around a lot but they taught me to stay low and mind my business but never to let anyone play down what I'm capable of. I said I wanted to make music and as scared as my family were for me (the risk is proof) - they taught me the meaning of consistent hard work, making sure you secure the bag and having a practical plan (not a "plan b"...which was some of the advice I ignored), just a plan that made sense in real life. Point is, we're always learning and as far as we've come as a generation, not to mention me as an individual, with all the losses and wins, Lord knows I'm still tryna figure it out.
