Making progress... Another mash-up of a Front 242 song with Depeche Mode vocals, and not THAT much of a style clash one might expect.

This is the voice track/studio recording of the single 'Only when I lose myself' with a sound track that was created from Front 242's album-only title 'Felines' from the 1988 album 'Front by Front' (an all-time favorite of mine).

It's EBM, but slow-paced and rather melodic. Both songs' BPM rates are very similar, so that getting them in sync was not a big problem. Good thing is that most of the melody comes from the vocals, the sampled "background" is not as important as in other songs.

With some extra effects the whole thing was put together with Audacity 2.0 on a total of 12 tracks.

I think the result is pretty good and conclusive - certainly not to everyone's taste, but that's not my point. And I make progress in learning how to use the software and how to arrange music. Anyway, it's still intended just as fun and entertainment. ^^
