Description

Who says rainy days can’t be fun? ☔️
In this song, we’re celebrating the rain instead of hiding from it.
Through playful repetition, kids learn about body parts while jumping, wiggling, and imagining raindrops falling all around them 🌧️

With Sing & Swing, I’ve created a unique, holistic method for little learners — ranging from babies as young as 8 months to children up to 7 years old. Every song is thoughtfully written by me to bring music, movement, and play together, helping little ones build language skills while supporting their emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development.

Here’s why this song works great for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners:

💧 Body parts and vocabulary: As raindrops fall on shoulders, arms, legs, and knees, little ones naturally learn body part names. Linking actions to words helps reinforce vocabulary in an engaging way.

🤸🏼‍♀️ Active and fine motor play: During the song, kids get up and move, jumping in pretend puddles! And when they wiggle their fingers to mimic raindrops falling, they’re developing fine motor skills — perfect for little hands to practice control and coordination.

❤️ Embracing the rain: Instead of avoiding the rain, this song helps children see the fun in it! By celebrating puddles and raindrops, kids learn to appreciate the elements and enjoy being in nature, whatever the weather.

🧠 Repetition and rhythm: The catchy, repetitive lyrics make it easy for kids to join in. This repetition supports language development and memory skills.

4 tips 💡:
1. Before starting the song, ask the kids to point to the body parts we’ll sing about (e.g., "Where are your shoulders?" "Where are your knees?").
2. Sing the last verse ("drip drop, raindrops on my shoulders") quietly, it adds a fun change in volume — preschoolers and kindergartners especially love this!
3. Encourage them to wiggle their fingers like falling raindrops, touch the body parts we’re singing about, and jump along to the beat during the chorus.
4. For babies, gently guide their movements or touch the body parts as you sing.

Enjoy!
