The piece begins with a beautiful leitmotif, the transition from the D chord to A (with the note A♭). The score almost always used finger 2, but I preferred to use fingers 3 and 4 as well.
[Bar 2] Legato slide (left hand only).
Bar 3] Finger 1 is lowered, but after the open G note has been played. You'll be grateful for this slide, which allows you to easily move from the 8th to the 2nd fret.
[Bar 11] The slide (finger 2, 8th fret) can also be done towards an open string (note B), perhaps only up to the 4th fret.
[Bar 12] This time I played the slide with finger 4,
because this way the D triad comes more naturally.
[Bar 14] It's preferable to set the sixths with fingers 3 and 2 (rather than 4 and 3), because this way you slide onto the C# note of the 3/4 c5 bar.
[Bar 17] Watch out for finger 2, which jumps from the 2nd to the 5th string.
