This is my full version piano cover / arrangement of "Happy Lucky Chappy" (ハッピーラッキーチャッピー), the opening theme of Takopi's Original Sin (タコピーの原罪). The song was written, composed, and performed by ano, with arrangement by TAKU INOUE. It was released in June 2025 as part of the BONE BORN BOMB album.

Arranging this song on piano is quite a challenge, because the original song has a very distinct charm about it thanks to ano's vocals. In isolation, this song seems happy, cheery, and energetic, but for those who have watched Takopi's Original Sin, it gives off an eerie feeling due to the contrast between the happy melody with seemingly-innocent lyrics, and the (very) dark nature of the anime. Needless to say, this song fits the anime perfectly.

Takopi's Original Sin itself is a six-episode ONA that premiered on June 28, 2025. The story follows Takopī, an alien from the “Happy Planet”, who crash‑lands on Earth and befriends a bullied nine‑year‑old girl named Shizuka Kuze. As takopi did his best to make the people he met happy with his gadgets, little did Takopi know that life on earth is full of darkness, twists, and irreversible damages. Takopi's Original Sin is my new favourite psychological anime that I think should gain much more recognition.
