Description
Track 7 from his third studio album, “I’m No Angel” copyright 1987 Epic Records. A comeback of sorts, released five years after the ABB had disbanded for a second time, this album had a more pop-rock sound. The title song was a radio hit and its video became very popular on MTV. The album achieved Gold status in 1990. Solid writing and a laid-back feel from a band of exceptional musicians makes it one of my favorites. Second only to his next album, “Just Before The Bullets Fly”, also on my channel. Written by Gregg Allman & Dan Toler and produced by Rodney Mills. RIP Dan Toler, Bruce Waibel, David Toler & Gregory Lenoir Allman. Featuring:
Gregg Allman – Lead vocals, Hammond B-3 organ & acoustic guitars
“Dangerous” Dan Toler – Lead guitars
Tim Heding – Keyboards & background vocals
Bruce Waibel – Bass & background vocals
David "Frankie" Toler – Drums
Chaz Trippy – Percussion
Special Guests:
Ed Callie – Tenor sax
Don Johnson – Co-lead vocals on “Evidence Of Love”
Of all the young girls I have known before
Believe me, there've been quite a few
One stands out above the others
And lady, that special one is you
And all the rest are just faces without names
People without purpose caught up in their own games
I've always wondered where they come from
And even where they've been goin' to
They have no roots, they have no boundaries
Perhaps they'll find someone like you
But 'til then, they're just faces without names
People with no purpose caught up in their own games
So if I live to be a hundred, I will spend my whole life through
Never takin' you for granted, I'll be forever lovin' you
And all the rest are just faces without names
People without purpose caught up in their own games
But 'til then they're just faces without names
People with no purpose runnin' round and round in circles
