Haru Nemuri (春ねむり) performs "Ikiru" ('生きる') live @ Paramount Bar (百樂門酒館) in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) on February 23, 2023.

Hailing from Yokohama, self-proclaimed 'riot grrrl' HARU NEMURI (春 ねむり) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and "poetry rapper". Her musical style mixes influences from J-pop, rap, post-hardcore, experimental pop, art rock, and electronica.

"Ikiru" was released on her 2022 album "Shunka Ryougen".
The bouncy melody and glittering poetry of “Ikiru,” which translates to “live,” sounds like a traditional romantic love song. But instead of singing to a lover, HARU NEMURI adopts Nietzsche’s concept of “amor fati” and declares her love for the struggle of being alive—both the good and bad.

Coming fresh of her "SHUNKA RYOUGEN TOUR" in North America in late 2022, which included a show at the POP Montreal Festival in Toronto, Canada, as well as thirteen shows in the USA, HARU NEMURI continued the tour into East Asia, where she performed at the Maho Rasop Festival in Bangkok, Thailand, and Okinawa, Japan.

Currently (late February 2023) she is on the Taiwan leg of the tour, and played the first of three stops in Kaohsiung , Taiwan, on Feb. 19.
She was joined by local Taiwan favorites 老破麻 (aka OLD SLUT DISTORTION), who opened the Kaohsiung show for her.
