I spent a lot of time in Japan during my childhood, and as I've grown older, the more I feel at home when I revisit my families homes there. When I visit Japan, I get a bittersweet nostalgic feeling from the precious memories I had made as a child, knowing that those simpler times will never be relived again. I wanted to capture that feeling in this song and eventually "I Remember" was made.

This project is very personal to me, and because "I Remember" is about my memories from Japan, I wanted to add a Japanese artist to the track. I reached out to my friend Mii who is a singer-songwriter and DJ living in Tokyo, and she wrote and performed her part in the outro. I highlight a lot of my memories with my family, so I also asked my brother and his wife to perform cello and violins in the same section.

All footage was taken during my trip visiting my family in Japan in 2022, and photos were obviously my childhood photos.
