"Making Our Dreams Come True" is the intro theme to the 70's tv show Laverne & Shirley. Sung by by Cyndi Grecco with The Ron Hicklin Singers, the full song is available on YouTube, but I've only seen one which pairs it with the intro sequence visuals. That's here:

But that did a brute force abrupt transition from the Schlemiel/Schlimazel bit into Cyndi Grecco's song. I decided to redo just the audio to smoothen out the transition.

Perhaps the greatest thing that ever came out of this show was SPINAL TAP. So Lenny & The Squigtones was the sleeper talent which exploded in the most memorable way. The first glimmer that they had it in them was that episode when Michael McKean and David Lander sang "Night After Night". Absolutely brilliant. That could have been a Spinal Tap song if they pumped it up a bit.

But this theme song is a jewel. Inspirational. Contrasting the show's silliness. This song deserves to be honored as a worthy successor to Frank Sinatra's My Way. I wonder if it had been offered to Nancy Sinatra before Cyndi Grecco got it. It's hard to imagine anyone doing a better performance with this. Cindi's tone and energy is absolutely perfect.


Well as of 2021, five of the biggest people from this show are no longer with us. I hope their dreams came true.
