Méditation from Thaïs is a lyrical intermezzo by Jules Massenet, composed in 1894 for his opera Thaïs, premiered at the Opéra Garnier in Paris. Placed between scenes in Act II, it marks the heroine’s spiritual awakening as she reflects on the monk Athanaël’s plea to renounce her worldly life.
