Hello Bats!

Rock n' Roll Voodoo Priestess @moonlightbenjamin has come down hard with her third album "Wayo," released on Friday 24th, February 2023.

The album is packed with bluesy riffs and of course her mighty, deeply moving voice, throughout the twelve tracks of the album.

"Wayo" is different from "Siltane" and "Simido," her previous recordings, in that it is less rooted in Haiti's circumstances and spiritual beliefs, and more universal, while all throughout steadfast in her Haitian culture and Creole language.

On the album, Moonlight said, “There are still a few songs about Haiti, of course, but the writing, the story, the common thread in this album, it’s more universal. It deals more with the philosophical side of things, our anchoring to the earth, our connection to the source.”

WAYO offers many different ambiances, atmospheres that are blue, dark, sprinkled in Caribbean sea waters; spiritually dense some times, and uplifting, at others.

La sacerdotisa del Rock n' Roll vudú @moonlightbenjamin llegó con fuerza con su 3er álbum "Wayo", lanzado el 24/2/23.

El álbum está repleto de riffs de blues y, por supuesto, su voz poderosa y profundamente conmovedora, a lo largo de sus doce pistas.

"Wayo" es diferente de "Siltane" y "Simido", sus grabaciones anteriores, en que está menos arraigada en las circunstancias y creencias espirituales de Haití, y es más universal, mientras que en todo momento se mantiene firme en su cultura haitiana y su idioma criollo.

Sobre el álbum, Moonlight dijo: “Todavía hay algunas canciones sobre Haití, por supuesto, pero la escritura, la historia, el hilo común en este álbum, es más universal. Se trata más del lado filosófico de las cosas, nuestro anclaje a la tierra, nuestra conexión con la fuente”.

WAYO ofrece muchos ambientes diferentes, atmósferas azules, oscuras, salpicadas de aguas del mar Caribe; espiritualmente denso algunas veces, y edificante, otras veces.

La prêtresse du rock n' roll vaudou Moonlight Benjamin est tombé dur avec son 3ème album "Wayo", sorti le vendredi 24 février 2023.

L'album regorge de riffs bluesy et bien sûr de sa voix puissante et profondément émouvante, tout au long des douze titres de l'album.
"Wayo" est différent de "Siltane" et "Simido", ses enregistrements précédents, en ce qu'il est moins enraciné dans les circonstances et les croyances spirituelles d'Haïti, et plus universel, tout en restant fidèle à sa culture haïtienne et à sa langue créole.

Sur l'album, Moonlight a déclaré : « Il y a encore quelques chansons sur Haïti, bien sûr, mais l'écriture, l'histoire, le fil conducteur de cet album, c'est plus universel. Il traite davantage du côté philosophique des choses, de notre ancrage à la terre, de notre connexion à la source."

WAYO propose de nombreuses ambiances différentes, des atmosphères bleues, sombres, saupoudrées dans les eaux de la mer des Caraïbes ; spirituellement dense à certains moments, et édifiante à d'autres.
