Description
Nada Sousou (by Natsukawa Rimi )
涙そうそう - (meaning [So Tears] by 夏川りみ (夏川里美 - Xia Chuan Li Mei)
Nada Sousou ( 涙そうそう)The lyrics speak of looking through an old photo-book at pictures of somebody who has died. The protagonist of the song is thankful to them for always encouraging them, and for being happy no matter what. They believe they will meet them again one day, and cries as they send thoughts of sadness and love to that person. (This reminds me of my beloved wife - Jane)
Nada Sōsō (涙そうそう Great Tears Are Spilling?) is a song written by Japanese band Begin and singer Ryoko Moriyama 森(sen) 山(shan) 良(liang) 子(zi) . It was first released by Moriyama on her 1998 album Time Is Lonely, but achieved popularity through the cover version by Rimi Natsukawa in 200
A year after Begin's version, the song was covered by Okinawan singer Rimi Natsukawa as her third single. Her version caused the song to become extremely popular, and is the only version to break the top 10.
Lyrics translation lifted from YouTube:
Opening the photo album
Mumbling to myself thanking you
All along All along in my heart
The one who encourages me
No matter it is a clear day or a rainy day
That smile that surfaces
Even if memories become distant, faded
Searching for the shadow of the past
When remembering the beginning, my tears fall
Hopefully looking at the north star praying
Has become my habit
When the sun sets Lift my head towards the sky
Searching for you with my heart
No matter it is sadness or happiness
Thinking about that smile
From the place where you are
If I could see One day definitely
Will meet you again .
Nada SouSou is indeed a very nice and endearing song. Like Natsuka, after hearing it I could not get the melody out of my head. I can't understand Japanese but I just want to learn this lovely song. Quickly, I bought her DVD (for S$28.50) and practised singing it for a few days before I record this 2nd video to share with friends here! My 1st recording has many pronounciation mistakes! This is slightly better.
