Description
This song is my entry in the 2025 Hey Nonny Songwriting Contest. It tells the story of a couple who were lucky enough to inherit a little summer house in the Chain o' Lakes in Illinois and use it to escape these tumultuous times. They know, though, that there's a world that needs them, so they're not just hiding away: they're recharging before they go back out and try to be the change they want to see.
