A Hebrew play with a taste of Yiddish

As a child growing up on a kibbutz, Sassi Keshet's parents played vinyl records of the great cantorial music of the day. Ever since, he has been captured by its voices and melodies. When he played the role of "The Cantor of Vilna" for Yiddishpiel in 2005, a desire was aroused in him to search for and sing the Sabbath songs, Chassidic melodies, and prayers, which he eventually put into an album that has recently been produced. On the heels of the album's success, Sassi Keshet is appearing in a new and exciting show. He is opening the gate for us via prayers in the Ashkenazi tradition, in a fascinating musical production. He touches upon Jewish memory and experience "from your father's home" with hymns that were chanted for generations, such as Kol Nidrey, Lyrushalaim Ircha, Sheyibane Beit Hamikdash, Unetaneh Tokef, Shir Hamaalot, Avinu Malkenu, Ptakh Lanu Shaar, Ani Maamin, Tfila Lishlom Hamedina, Sabbath Evening Songs, Songs by the Malevski Family, etc.
