The Slim Kings are a super band, and I think they're doing things the right way! 😄 We need more songs with bass solos like this! 💪 It takes courage to do that as a band, and I really appreciate it! AND IT'S A GREAT SOLO! It serves the song well. It's mainly a D7 soul vibe consisting of two melodic parts that use blues and soul scales. I love this approach! I tried my best to catch the vibe of it. In the song, you can hear two bass parts together: the solo and the main bassline. I only played the solo part. 😉✌️ It's definitely worth checking out!

I'm using my Fender JMJ Mustang bass with the "Shortscale Boost" preset to make this mellow bass sound punchier and more present, and to give it a little B-15 vibe.
