The fabulous Bothy Band,founded by Irish traditional great Donal Lunny in 1975,were together for four years before they disbanded in 1979.This was incredible because they had such a profound affect and influence upon the Irish Traditional music scene within that short time.They had a vibrancy and enthusiasm which effectively changed Irish traditional music until the present day.All past members of The Bothy Band are associated with the creme de la creme of Irish traditional music bands such as Planxty,Moving Hearts,The Chieftains.'The Green Groves Of Erin/Flowers Of Red Hill' was introduced in their debut album 'The Bothy Band' in 1975.This video presentation is for educational purposes and social commentary only.No copyright infringement is intended.
